Happy Holidays? bah humbug.

I now officialy depise it when people say "Happy Holidays". they're making way too much of a big deal our of nothing.

The other day my little brother came home from school saying that they wouldnt let him say "Merry Christmas" anymore. I know that they are trying not to offend anyone, but i think they're being waaaay too overreactive about it. If someone had a problem with saying Merry Christmas, they could just tell the person, "hey, I celebrate Hanukkah." then the people could be all, "Happy Hanukkah," and then it would be over, no big deal.

But censoring the words people say, changing the ever popular "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays", is a way bigger deal than it has to be. It's no fun to mush Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza together and just catergorize them as "holidays". "Happy holidays" just has no feeling or intention in it. It tells you that the person who says it doesnt even care enough to know what holiday you celebrate. No one wants to hear Happy Holidays when they are celebrating the joy of Kwanza or Hanukkah or Christmas. So there's no point in saying it anyways.

So Merry Christmas people. Or Hanukkah. Or Kwanaza. Whatever you celebrate, enjoy it. Because it's more than just a holiday.

:D
